Coats of Many Colors

Color Terms –

Black Mask – Face has a shaded part from the nose to the eyes, usually black

Self Mask / No Mask – Face does not have any shading

Patterns

Black & Tan, Black & Silver, etc – can be defined as a color and/or pattern. Light colored masking on the dark full face, usually have lighter color on the feet and often white on the chest

Brindle Pattern – Mixture of various colors

Other Terms

Dilute – the patterns (domino, brindle, blk & tan, black & silver) are more subdued in their coloring

Highly Marked – the patterns are more pronounced and colors are more vibrant
